- Airline Pilot Central – FedEx arrivals during Thunderstorms – Neat little video (with music) showing FebEx air arrivals at Memphis navigating around an incoming thunderstorm. Kind of like watching an ant farm…. with hydrophobic ants on speed.
- Center for Online and Internet Addiction – Help and Resource for Internet Addicts, Healthcare Professionals, and Corporations dealing with Internet abuse. Internet Addiction Test – How addicted to the Internet are you? With a score of 51 it claims that I need help. But I say it is all research for this blog. I’m sacrificing myself for my readers.

- Coming soon to a theater near you – Free movies this summer! – Want to see free movies? Who doesn’t.
- I’m Just Sayin’: We Live In a World Full of Idiots – Do you recall that 9/11 was a Tuesday? I didn’t. Forget about United 93 the movie for some people simply mentioning Tuesday is “Too Soon”.
- kanji romaji hiragana convert – Learning Japanese is difficult. Not so much because the language is hard but because most learning and translation tools work exclusively in Kanji or Hiragana (Chinese and Japanese Characters). Learn Japanese is much easier for a gaijin in Romanji (Japanese written in Roman/Latin alphabet). This translator will help.
- OilPoster.org – Large poster showing world oil production from 1859 to present and interpolated to 2050. Shows the predicted peak approximately 2010 and decline afterwards as world oil reserves dry up.
- Time to sink or graduate – The Boston Globe – I had no idea but many colleges have a swim test requirement for graduation. Bizarre.
- TV in Japan: Otaku From USA – I really hope when I go to Japan I don’t look like these guys. I shouldn’t, I’m not into toys or anime but there is always guilt by association.
- Vonage USB SoftPhone Kit Leaked – Gizmodo – I’ve been a Vonage customer for a year now and am very happy. I doubt I’ll ever go back to traditional telephone. With this gadget I can take my phone service wherever I want. This looks like a cool idea to me.
- Why do we say ‘um’, ‘er’, or ‘ah’ when we hesitate in speaking? | The Register – Um, ok… this is, ah, interesting. You should, like, ummmmm, read it.
