• CoMagz-Evolution of the alphabet | Linkadelic Magazine - Animated GIF showing the evolution of the alphabet from the Phoenician alphabet in 900 B.C. to today. This has always been an interesting topic for me. I remember one of my first history reports in elementary school was on the development of written language... I got a decent grade but the teacher informed me that it wasn't considered history.  I always had trouble deciding what was considered history.  I once wrote a history report on King Author (fictional character) told through dialog.
  • Digging Alexa - how the geek demographic doubled overnight | BlogCadre - In April I noticed that my daily reach (number of users visiting hypercubed sites per million) dropped to nearly negligible according to Alexa. I first I thought my site was wiped off the internet map.  But no, my sites were still accessible.  Then I thought that maybe on of the sites that link into mine had dropped me but I couldn't figure out which one.  Eventually I gave up and accepted the fact that nobody likes Hypercubed anymore.  Turns out it was due to the sudden adoption of Alexa toolbar by a huge number of Digg users.  Suddenly, overnight, the Alexa rankings were altered by the new demographic.  Tech sites shot up and non tech sites shot down.  I always considered hypercubed a tech site... guess I was wrong.  Next week I'm going to have all cute kitten links.
  • Father Of Kidnapped Son Gets Revenge - SpikedHumor.com - I don't believe in revenge, vengeance, or tit-for-tat but, like this guy, if somebody touched my son inappropriately I would probably rip his testicles off with my bear hands before ensuring his painful death.  It's wrong I know... but if it was your son?

  • OfficeMax bids farewell to mail-in rebates | CNET News.com - Office Max and Best Buy are going to stop mail in rebates in their stores.  Instead the discount will be registered at the cashier before tax.  I have mixed feelings about this.  Sure I hate rebate forms and waiting as much as the next guy but you have to admit, sometimes the deals are just really good.  Will the deals be as good after this is implemented? I doubt I'll ever get a free-after-rebate power strip again (at least from OfficeMax or Best Buy).

  • thatvideosite.com :: Penn & Teller: The truth about PETA - Penn and Teller rip PETA.  PETA are not pet lovers like many think but really die hard vegetarians that believe in the "total liberation" of all animals.  That is dogs, cats, chickens, lions, should all be set free from human.  Think of what would happen if little fluffy over there were set free.
