Two weeks at a time again. I really don’t intent on making this a habit. Maybe once I get my secret CakePHP based project off the ground I’ll get back to regular posts. Also, please not that I’m now making an effort to credit my source for each link.
MSN Autos – Search for the lowest gas prices by zip code. Very nice. I just wish I can filter for my preferred station (5% free gas with co-branded credit card). You are a medieval doctor asked to treat injuries and diseases using only your medieval tools. [via http://digg.com/] Jiffy Lube Scam! – Paying $20 for an oil change from one of those quick oil change sites beats the heck out of disposing of the oil it myself but I NEVER ask for any of the recommended service. I always knew that they try to make money off the upsell. Especially when the tired to tell me I needed a new air filter on a brand new car (3000 miles). I never imagined that they were not even doing the recommended service when you ask for it. This time I had a links to an Official Seal Generator and a Cassette Generator. That was before I realized that were both from the same site. This site promises to stop all those preapproved credit applications that I hate shredding piles of each day. All you have to do is submit your name, address, date of birth, and SSN. Before she signed up she asked me about it. I gave her a quick lecture of Phishing scams. Well turns out I was wrong. Read Ed Foster’s review of check out the FTC webpage.
