I've been using SyncBack for about 3 years now. I use it to backup my personal stuff via FTP to a remote machine. It's been great for me. I also have tried a ton of different backup software packages and mediums. I don't do anything that's not automated any more. It's too much hassle. good article.

I don't have massive backup needs, but would be lothe to lose what I have. I work mostly off a 1 gig thumb drive on which I have portable versions of my most-used applications.

For example, I have all my writing, including hundreds of newspaper columns, dozens of poems, several books, and the text to all my blog posts, in a free version of TreePad.

Everyday, [using SyncBackSE!] I back up the 1 gigger to a 4 gig HD.

Now, thanks to Hypercubed, I have discovered Mozy. Their free 2-gig offering of backup space is perfect for my needs.

Thanks. Exceedingly Curious now owes, not just its rotating headers, but also its backup strategy to your site.
