Links of the Week (Week #3, 2006)
So after accidentally dropping Cy the One-eyed Kitty from last weeks links of the week I decided to become more organized. The result... too many links!
- How to Design Web Accessible Pages for the ColorBlind - Having Anomalous Trichromatic Vision myself I can say that there is nothing more frustrating then dark text on a dark background. Primary tip: keep the backgrounds lite!'
- Bembo's Zoo - A cute flash animation that constructs animal figures out of the letters of the animals name. Show your kids.
- Crazy Shirt Folding - Google Video - Fold a shirt perfectly in a few seconds. Video is in Japaneses but you can figure it out.
- Discovery Channel :: Video :: MythBusters: Lost Experiments - Video of lost scenes from the Myth Busters TV series.
- Celestia space simulation - This is really cool. It is like planetarium software (you view the stars and planets from the earth perspective) except that you can also travel in space. Fly from Earth to the Alpha Centauri triple star system.
- How to Detect a Two-Way Mirror - Ever wonder if is spying on you from behind that mirror in that cheap road side motel your staying. Here are some hints to check.
- Mealbox -A table and chair set that folds up nice and compact. I want one!
- Stabilized version of the famous (fake) big foot video - I couldn't care less about this video (*cough*fake*) but I think technique for stabilization is impressive.
- Their Levees - Our Levees - Some pictures of the high tech levees around the world. Then a picture of our levees for comparison.
- Where's George? - I saw this a long time ago but just ran across it again. Visit this site, enter the serial number of a US bill you have ($1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100) and see where the bill has been if someone else has already entered it.
- Zend Technologies - Beginner Tutorials - Paypal, the PHP approach - I don't have much need for it now but this site contains a tutorial for creating a subscriber only portion of your website with the subscriptions payed through PayPal.
